What Does Toxic Mold Looks Like?

Molds are simple, microscopic organisms present virtually everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Molds, including all mushrooms and yeast, are fungi and are needed to break down dead material and recycle nutrients in the environment. The longer that mold grows, the more mold damage to the building.

Most kinds of mold are harmless and human bodies can tolerate molds and mycotoxins in small quantities. In larger quantities, they can be a health hazard. A few species can cause serious and even irreparable harm in humans. One of the most dangerous kinds of toxic mold is a black mold known as Stachybotrys chartarum.

Stachybotrys chartarum is not uncommon and certainly not rare. Stachybotrys may produce compounds that have toxic properties known as mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are produced depending on what the mold is growing on, conditions such as temperature, pH and humidity. Mycotoxins can appear in both living and dead mold spores.

Mold testing can be used to identify and quantify fungi and extent of exposure so that necessary action can be implemented.

To find out if you have a Black Mold problem, you must test. You may either purchase a Do-it-Yourself Toxic Mold test kit online, go to your favorite retail store, or if you think you need a more in-depth on-site inspection contact a professional mold inspector.

Stachybotrys Chartarum occurs more frequently in animals than in humans. However, if spores are released into the air, humans certainly can come into contact with them and develop symptoms that include flu-like symptoms, respiratory problems, headaches, cognitive problems, and skin irritation.

Since common building materials are capable of sustaining mold growth and mold spores are ubiquitous, mold growth in an indoor environment is typically related to an indoor water or moisture problem.

If water enters the inside of a wall through siding degradation, leaks above, or water leaks in plumbing inside the wall, mold will grow very well in the wet indoor wall cavities.
A Certified Mold Inspector can detect mold growing inside a wall through his or her fiber optics inspection device.

Many people do not take a little visible mold growth very seriously. However, this can be an indication of a much larger mold growth in less visible places.
Mold can take on a variety of appearances, such as black, grey-brown, grey-green, white & orange spots, or even pink or purple splotches.

Mold And It's Effects

Perhaps you may have found the dreaded mold lurking in your dwelling recently. Perhaps you even had to recondition it up. To be sure, it's ugly, inconvenient, possibly destructive and possibly a hazard to good health.

Unfortunately, mold can form anywhere circumstances exist to foster its advance. It regularly evolves in cool damp places. Usually in locations where temperatures range between 40 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with a relative humidity level of 70% or higher. Though it is possible for certain molds to grow in lower humidity levels, they are not a common occurrence and rarely a concern over the more common types of mold. Read more about your home and other home care issues at http://www.fhhome.com

Typical spaces in a domicile where mold tends to take hold are zones such as bathrooms, basements, ceiling tiles, paneling, refrigerators, air circumstanceers, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, trash cans, heating ducts, windowsills, carpeting and other enclosures where wetness may be captured.

Mold appears in different ways, each with varying levels of risk to health. In low levels mold is pretty much harmless, but in greater levels the person who comes in contact may suffer allergic symptoms from the spores, as well as more harmful effects.

There are two forms of mold called Stachybotrys and Memnoniella which are considered toxic and can have a no-nonsense effect on a persons health. Smaller symptoms of exposure to these toxic molds may include a rash, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, respiratory difficulties, eye irritations, difficulty breathing, sinus inflammation, headaches, fatigue and sore throat.

More austere symptoms of exposure to toxic mold may include ear inflammation, nose bleeds, bleeding of the lungs, memory loss and arthralgia (joint pain).

Exposure to any type of mold can always have the possibility of bringing on negative health effects, so it is wise to remove mold when it is found and to foster contingencys, which can help minimize the chances of mold appearing again in the future.

First of all, if you find mold in your domicile, purify it right away. For mold advancing on solid material like metal, basic soap and detergent should do the trick. Be sure to dry them immediately afterward. For materials more porous, where mold has sunk in, such as mattresses or other furnishings, the material should be replaced, as it is impossible to remove mold completely from these materials.

To prevent mold from forming in the future, check for any and all sources of wetness. In bathrooms check for leaky faucets or pipes which are no-nonsense culprits for fostering the incidents for mold raiseth. Once you have finished, lower the humidity level of your dwelling to between 30 and 60%. Since most mold advances in circumstances of 70% relative humidity of higher, keeping humidity low in your home will greatly reduce the risk of mold forming again in the future.

The steps set forth above are very urgent to follow, especially for those who may suffer from allergies. An ounce of deterrence now could save you inconvenience, discomfort, as well as funds in the years ahead.

How Is Mold Like Aids?

Dont laugh. Both get a lot of coverage in the press. Mold isnt a politically sensitive issue but there are a lot of similarities.

Dont laugh. Both get a lot of coverage in the press. Mold isnt a politically sensitive issue but there are a lot of similarities.

1. Both get into your system without being felt.
If you are living, working or studying in a moldy environment there will be mold spores floating in the air. Every time you breathe, these mold spores move through your nose, sinuses and into your lungs. Each of these spots is moist and warm. Ideal environments for mold spores to set up housekeeping. From these locations the spores release mycotoxins (mold poisons) that get into the blood stream and spread through the body.

2. Both attack your immune system so you cant fight of normal, everyday diseases. Mold kills white blood cells. These are the bodys primary defense against invading bacteria and viruses.

3. Both kill indirectly. Yes I said kill.
Cancer is probably the leading cause of death with an AIDS patient. The bodys defenses are so weak that even simple diseases become life threatening. Mold releases poisons that are known to cause cancer. Chemicals like the Aflotoxins and Ochratoxins were written about 30 years ago. This is OLD science. These are found in most of the household molds we run into in our investigations. The most common death from mold is a condition called a T-cell lymphoma. http://www.themoldlab.com/DrDennis.pdf

Sometimes mold will get into the brain and cause death directly, but this isnt very common.

Mold also can lead to Heart Attacks. Many of the mold toxins attack the connective tissue in the vascular system, including the heart. Again this is OLD science. Nothing new or dramatic.

4. Both can be prevented.
The easiest way to prevent mold induced diseases is to Get rid of the Mold. This is fairly easy as long as you do it by natural means. If you use toxic chemicals to kill mold you are just replacing one problem for another. Chemicals called borates are commonly used to kill mold. Most of the time they are used incorrectly and dont work. But for about 15% of the population, the only cure for the borate reactions is to move out of your house forever. We have seen this happen on many occasions.

But how are they DIFFERENT? AIDS cant really be cured. Mold can.

There are botanical treatments that will remove the mold from your body. It involves a few daily nose sprays.

So you see, mold and AIDS are not as far apart as you would think. Both can kill and both work without you knowing it.For 30 years, Dr Graham has been helping people treat andprevent disease by showing them how to live in a clean environment.http://www.tennesseemold.com

Hows the practicing going? Are you spending time each day to practice RET, EFT and affirmations? When you make yourself a priority, then everything else falls into place.

When we lose our connection to God, to ourselves, then we get off track. The answer is very simple! Spend time with yourself each day and focus on you.

Do you make excuses why you cant spend time with yourself? Do you come up with all sorts of reasons why you couldnt do it?

Take some time right now and write down the excuses you generally use when you dont focus on you? Example: I couldnt exercise because I had to do the laundry. Just name
everything you use as an excuse. If you have weight issues, I guarantee the list will be long.

God created you as the most awesome person in the Universe and spending time with yourself would please Him. He wants you to feel that joy and love of yourself. One way to spend time with yourself is being thankful.

I thought it would be appropriate to take some time to be grateful. Expressing gratitude is important to adopt as a daily practice. When youre thankful for all youve received, it opens your heart up to attract great things. You
look at everything in such a different way and realize all that you have is given to you by God. How powerful is this?

A great daily practice is seeing the Divinity in all things and this is what I would like you to do right now. Take a look around you in the room youre in and notice everything. Now, were going to be thankful for all that you see.

I am grateful for the walls
I am grateful for the paint
I am grateful for the computer
I am grateful for the windows
I am grateful for the doors
I am grateful for the lights

You get the picture. See how many things you can say or write down that youre grateful for in just that room alone. Youll feel a sense of calm and wont be stressed.

You can expand on this to include your body. Remember to act as if it is already happening.

I am grateful for my thin body
I am grateful that food nourishes me
I am grateful I no longer have cravings

I would like to express my gratitude to you and how much I appreciate you being a part of my life. I know your weight has been (Im using past tense here) an issue, but remember I will be the light that helps you know you have everything within you now to overcome this. Im destined to help you uncover those layers youre using as protection.

The big lesson today is focus on you. There is no bigger priority than you. You deserve it!

Love and hugs,
